David Bowie Word on a Wing
God had shown up in a few David Bowie songs before But this one is basically a hymn And it's easy to hear it and think Where in the hell did this come from? Well it makes more sense if you hear it less as Bowie having a very brief slow train coming phase And more as a cry for help from somebody hitting bottom It reminds me a little of spiritualized in that regard Oh yeah Yeah It's still a six minute ballad so It's never gonna be one of my all-time favorites or anything.
