Christopher Liddell played a crucial role in transitioning from the Trump administration into the Biden years. He was born in New Zealand, worked his way up to become CFO of both Microsoft and General Motors before joining Mitt Romney's transition team. At one point, Liddell was about to quit when he was talked off the ledge by Josh Bolton, who was George W. Bush's second chief of staff. On January 20th, 2021, he walked out of the West Wing, climbed into his 1960 Corvette convertible,. drove down to the Southwest Gate and tipped his fedora to the Secret Service.
