On July 8th, the top story in the Roswell Daily record is titled RAAF captures flying saucer on ranch near Roswell. On July 9th, an air force official clarifies that the papers report of an alleged flying saucer is just a crashed weather bullet. It's not an interesting or important at all. And it's not mysterious. The soldiers were simply cleaning up a mess that was unfortunately left on a civilian's property.
