The Asonet Ledge
The hokimok swamp is a huge wet land that covers much of the northern part of southeastern massachusetts. It gets its name from the wampa noag people, and it means, quote, place where the spirits dwell sut am. There's an 80 foot deep rock quarry known as the asonet ledge, or, as quote, the ledge no thanks. This area was once owned by the fall river granite company. When they go near the quarry, people say they suddenly feel like they just want to have to go cliff,. Or they feel like they're being pushed.
