Vender Lockin - What Does It Mean to You?

Vender lockin is the idea that once a vendor has your business, it's very difficult to switch vendors. As as a vender, as a softer company, you kind of want a little bit of vender locking. But at the same time, you don't want a lot of vinterlocking, because then that introduces non competitive behavior. People can start jacking up the price. They can start removing features. And so people look for things like, well, now i want multi cloud, or i want a hybridou this gives you alittle bit of an out, but they also introduce cost.
