Paul says Christ himself gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. "No one has any authority over anyone else," Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 12. The letters of Paul are addressed to the entire church body collectively. But there is no senior pastor listed anywhere in the New Testament.
