In the movie, samantha starts on this theme of how great it is and how wonderful it is not to have a body. The commonality between the defensiveness and the seeming glee of not having a body is that as long as you believe in bodies, you're going to have upsets. Believing in the ego, believing in you're separate from god comes in. But he's got this beautiful line in the in the text, where he says, do not raise body thoughts to the level of mind.
