The Asturias Rebellion
Paine says the army units also committed atrocities, and there may have been as many as a hundred summary executions. The Asturias Rebellion was put down by Franco, using Moroccan troops. Overly Left mouthpieces commonly talk of thousands killed; Weston offers no figures. He merely complains for pages about savagery, brutality, howling for vengeance, and such like.
