The Importance of Creativity in the Universe

Creativity is a genuine phenomenon in the universe. I think it's real things come into existence that weren't there before. So whatever the ultimate laws of physics are, they have to be compatible with this fact of the universe. This doesn't mean things aren't determined by the laws of physics. They are. But those deterministic laws of physics themselves allow for phenomena which are inherently unpredictable. And so as long as creativity,. then perhaps that is what gives us the existence of free will. That argument never struck me as completely correct.
