Vampier was filmed in several different languages, and then parts of all of the versions ofs twould have been lost. In ta, to the greatest extent possible, drye wood film, each actor mouthing the words in each of the three languages for every shot where their lips are seen to move. This goes some way to explaining why dialogue is not in any way sustained in this film. It was shot as asylum film, and everything was looped afterwards.
