Hellenistic Kingdoms

The term hellenistic refers to a kind of meeting of cultures that takes place. Alexander's territory could not all be held together after his death, it was simply too far flung for any one person to govern at all. And we refer to these divisions as hellenistic kingdoms. There is important and significant scientific work that's done in this period. The art is also very good throughout this period. We'll have more to say about that, about the flat earth myth.
