James Cameron's Alex Is a Thrilling Sequel to Terminator 2
The last two times James Cameron has made sequels have been aliens and Terminator 2 so if that's to say anything about what avatars could be a track record yeah exactly well. I think the ending especially as you're highlighting their Alex is where it really like leans hard into the female myth right because when he comes out riding on the big red pterodactyl and then he rides into battle against all the space marines carrying a gun. John Willis' character Quaritch is such like a cartoon character almost like one dimensional cut out of like every possible stereotype that you could shove into this character but again, simplicity and clarity gives you something to hold on to.
