On one level, we don't want people enriching themselves based on insider information. This would be an even bigger problem if congress was doing more of its job of legislating. But legislative function of congress has been so passed off to agencies and and the executive. Theyare the ones doing off the law making these days. O not at that they should be doing the lawmaking, that theyshould be covered by this. It imaginatify if congress was actully the one responsible for like, imagine the pharmacetical industries input on public policy. And that's a really good point.
