Hand Cryptography Isn't All Assholes, Is It?
Hand cryptography just keeps getting more complicated. I couldn't even encrypt a message to myself and then decrypt it reliably. The encoding of secrets using sort of like a combination of sacred texts and intentions or spells is something that I haven't seen anybody else doing. In cast magic, we talk a lot about this idea of losing the sigil like in your mind like the sigil is kind of abstracted enough from its original meaning so that it maintains a sympathetic connection with it but it's not a direct correlation anymore. So for me doing this isn't necessarily about making, you know, uncrackable secret messages as much as it is a contemplative exercise in enjoying the mathematical manipulation of language.
