The Importance of LLVM in Programming

WebAssembly was designed from the outset to not have a language really attached to it as its higher level format. And I think that's really helped gain traction as they target for a bunch of different languages to compile to. We're seeing a lot of progress, which is great. But also you were talking about Erlang, for instance, and the JVM. A lot of people target these as generic platforms for their code but both of those things come with a lot of stuff that you probably don't need.
