Thyroid Hormone T3 Drops in Low Carbohydrate Diet

Insulin does directly regulate. It has TSH-like effects on the thyroid gland. Leptin regulates thyroid production of thyroid hormone as well as peripheral conversion. Elevated free fatty acids do interfere with T3 signaling, although that's less of the T3 amount and more of the signaling effect.
