Pauline dakon was a journalist and author on Canada's east coast. Her mother wanted her to be silent because she thought the jewelry might contain hidden listening devices, so it needed to be checked. Pauline soon learned that the reason her mother had told her this was not true. The story of pauline is based on reverend sears' notes from his time as a minister in the united church of canada.
