How to Make a Successful Horror Game
Before I even went to design Tattletail, I had this document of like, here's what makes a successful horror game. And I was like, Oh, these are totally doable as long as you stick to just, you know, achieve these bullet points and put it in an appealing package. We didn't get hung up on like, for example, the house that Tattletail takes place in is just a stock asset from the asset store. It's like, we just bought it wholesale and then change all the pictures in the picture frames. Incredible.
