In the worst case, you leak every single change. So there is still inherently like trust in the client to be at least doing his verification checks. But yeah, I guess also like a lot of the goal here is to really move away from trusting the server to trusting the client. It would be great to solve that in general because what happens if you get a fake WhatsApp app that isn't doing an intro encryption or isn't doing Divi Hellman?
