CHAPTER

Introduction

This is the second part of a two-part discussion on chapter 9 of the fabric of reality quantum computers. Last episode I spent rather long on exposition and very little time on reading so it's going to be at least three parts in order to get through this chapter in its entirety. The book begins with David Deutscher giving credit to Richard Feynman for coming up with the idea that predicting behavior of quantum mechanical systems was an intractable task. We also discuss whether or not chaos theory really obtains in the real world as well as things like babbage, church and Turing.
