I've always been interested in the english language and culture, and i was always good at school. So i decided to study that. And ye, then i think it was a good decision though. I think when you struggle at first and you reach a certain point where you can really communicate with people and even teach a language, it's really a story of success. Also, when you learn a second language, er as your mother tongue, for example, when your parents are from different countries, i think that's quite useful,. because then you get know the concept of different languages early on.

714. Robin from Hamburg 🇩🇪 (WISBOLEP Runner-Up)

Talking to another runner-up from last year's listener competition. Robin from Hamburg had a big setback in his learning of English, but worked hard to overcome it. We talk about his English learning trajectory, and ramble about German language & culture, his podcast for learners of German, podcasting microphones and then Robin teaches me some German words which are difficult to pronounce.
