Are There Objectively Easy Languages and Objectively Difficult to Learn Language?

There is no evidence that some languages are easier to acquire than others. People have intuitions, especially individuals who study multiple languages will often have intuitions like, you know, this language is harder. So these things kind of make sense at the intuitive level, but kind of large scale systematic investigations of such questions are lacking. I think maybe in the next decade or two will actually get some answers to some of these questions.
