The Boomers, I'm an Activist, but That's So Different From the Boomers
The boomers experienced a fundamental shift in their personality as a generation during the early 19 eighties. Many of them gave up their original, hippy idealism of their youth and traded it in for a more cynical, yupe realism. According to straussenhau's book, there are four turn ings, each of which spans about 20 to 25 years. And these happen in succession over time, with all four turnings combined constituting what they call a cycle.
