Genetic Leakage and Penetrance
Genetic leakage is the flow of genes from one species to another that can create hybrid species. In genetics penetrance is the proportion of individuals carrying a particular allele of a gene that also express the phenotype. For instance inherited breast cancer can come in the form of mutations to the brocco one gene and so females with a mutation have an 80 percent lifetime risk of developing cancer.
