The Big Idea, the Intent, the Thesis, the Concept

A lot of students don't figure out what a concept is really. And i would say it's probably because most faculty members don't actually understand what that is and how it gets executed. At some point you need a big idea to drive all the ideas together, otherwise you're just going to either start developing a building that doesn't look like anything or rationalize like anything.
