The entire working premise of french preparations was that when hostilities broke out with prussia, that the rest of europe would join france in a grand anti prussian alliance. But napoleon did not realize that every single one of those calculations, everysingle one of them was wrong. In just a few months, the empire would be overthrown, and no one would mourn its passing.
