Reading is the heart of education. The knowledge of almost every sub at in school flows from reading. For every year of education, an individual lived one and a half years longer. Research has found what they consider to be an immunizing effect from childhood reading. 70 to 82% of prison inmates are school drop outs. 60 % of inmates are illiterate to semi literate.
