Women Voting in the 20 20 Democratic Primary
Women candidates are often disadvantaged by pragmatic bias. People withhold support from members of groups for whom success is assumed to be difficult or impossible to achieve. Those who felt strongly that it would be harder for a woman than a man to win the 20 20 election were more likely to say they were not planning to vote for their favorite candidate, and instead were planning tovote for one of the men candidates.
