Is There a Standard Metric to Detecting Good Journalism?

There is great journalism in the world to day, it's just hard to find because there's so much terrible journalism and highly popular journalism that dominates the air waves. So our system groups all articles into topics. By grouping into topics, we can about 95 % of new sort of groups into topic pages. And then about five percent dosn't group into topic pages; that's where it gets really interesting. A si ha, this one story doesn't seem to fit in anywhere else and is really highly rated. Is that something that's interesting? That's how it sort of shows up in the under reported section, and you find amazing stuff.
