The FBI's Decision to Open a Full Investigation Into a Trump Campaign

The FBI opened a full investigation into Donald Trump's campaign on July 31st, 2016. The report asked if that was consistent with other intelligence it had received concerning attempts by foreign interests to influence American politics. It also questioned whether the FBI properly considered other highly significant intelligence at virtually the same time as that used to predicate crossfire hurricane. This included information from third parties including the Steele dossier and confidential human source reporting.
