Since when did agreeing personal terms with a player before having permission become normal? Isn't it tapping up? Not just rice every rumored link this summer includes a line about personal terms already agreed. It's partly why intermediaries and third parties exist to give everyone involved plausible deniability. And I think to be fair, in that situation in particular, everyone has been very aware for some time that Declan Rice would be going this summer. West Ham don't want to sort of upset that apple cart by lodging a complaint with the FA. Every deal West Ham are doing this summer involves a similar degree of yeah, you know, if it comes tapping up.
