For women and s it does seem a lot of the time it comes from a parent or a grandparent, probably because there is fewer of us. When you become obsessed with the process, you generally have really, really good results. And when you're super obsessed and self conscious about results, a lot of times they come slowly. But for me, chess was the first time that i felt that, like feeling that you were creating something from nothing, and you dont jest in your brain.
