Biden's Choice for Vice President

Biden chose Kamala Harris for two reasons, a merit reason and then a political reason. On the merits, he wanted to have someone of the same caliber as Barack Obama. He judged her to be fully capable of discharging the office of President in the United States. And there's also a political factor, which is obvious. They've had the first black woman vice president for him to ditch her for somebody else. The black vote would disappear... So for those reasons, she is staying.
