How Do I Compare Short Term Investments?
The stock market is phenomenal for 20-year time frames, horrible for a one-year time frame. The swings are going to be wilder, which means it's not ideal for short term things. If you look at that over short periods of time, you'll see that it shortens as the time horizon gets longer. There's three buckets that your money can go into based on the time horizon. You can put it in cash, you can own companies, or you can lend money to companies.
