When capital is abundant, you do whatever it takes to get into the companies and it becomes round and friendly. The reality is neither is okay because you want to be aligning with economic structures that are good for investors and employees and the founders. So these structured equity rounds, which are by the way being very done to preserve the vanity numbers of the older valuations, but at the same time giving enough of a return to the new investors coming in, I think that's silly. You're much better off taking your medicine, cleaning up the cap chart to the extent that it needs to be cleaned up and just build from there.
