The Name of the Lord Is Not Just a Tag

The name of god can refer in several respects to our conceptions of the reality of god. The temple is described not as a house for god, so much as a house that his name might dwell there. God hallowing his name becomes a ground for a petition for salvation and deliverance. It becomes a means by which people can understand some sort of traction - we can have prayer even when we have no grounds within ourselves.
