Do You Have Financial Toxicity in Cancer Treatment?
Financial toxicity has really taken off as a phrase. It so accurately describes what's happening to patients when they're starting their cancer treatment. We would never start any one on cimo therapy without warning them of the risk. When i order an unnecessary test, if there's no evidence that it's actually going to benefit your treatment, all i'm exposing you to is potential financial harms. But also, for example, diagnosis of incidental omas. So things that would never have affected your life, suddenly we know that they're there and we need to treat them.
