The Battle of Bello Wood in Chateau Terre
U.S. Marines are inspiring Americans back home thanks to Floyd Gibbons' report on the battle. While the narrative doesn't do justice to all of the Second Division's forces in the battle, it's a huge morale boost for the American public as they feel victory is in sight. According to French Colonel Jean de Piafue, the mere sight of these young, smooth-faced Americans gives new strength to the heroic, but years-warm, Pauline. The German High Command soon learned about the Allies increased around. A special order is made in response.
