Fashion Nova settled a lawsuit for misleading reviews that alleged they were attempting to artificially inflate the prices of its products. Just two years before review gate, there was an issue with their refunds. In 2020, they had to cough up $9.3 million after the FTC accused them of failing to notify consumers that they could cancel orders and illegally used gift cards as refunds instead of actually giving people their money back.
