Tailwind is slightly easier to learn than CSS itself, but it really helps if you already know CSS. It's not that far off from writing in line styles. I think the tradeoff is well worth it compared to like SAS and all these other higher level languages. But for some people, tailwind would probably be the wrong choice because it doesn't match their opinions at all.
