How Do You Tell When Co-Founders Aren't Working?

The biggest companies seem to generally have had two or three founders. I actually can't think of it as single one that had a real solo founder. And the psychological toll that Sam talks about is real. It's a lonely job, but also it's people telling you you're more on a bunch of times in a row and you just have to mostly not care.
