The Illusions of Race

A lot of people pointed out that Du Bois didn't think about race as purely a scientific or pseudoscientific category but saw race as socio-historical. And in this regard I think that there really was a good counter critique to Opio's argument. It is important to note that Opio has since then softened his position, he has a book on Du Bois based on a series of lectures that he gave at Harvard.
