The Iraqi Kurds Are America's Darlings

On January 30th 2005 Iraqis went to the polls. This historic election begins the process of drafting and ratifying a new constitution which will be the basis of a fully democratic Iraqi government. The returns of this election are as follows as expected Ayatollah Ali Sistani's United Iraqi Alliance came in first with 48% of the vote.
