In big law, partners are very much working partners. Many of them work harder than the associates because even if they're billable hour requirements in terms of what they bill to clients might be lower. And so it is not unusual for a partner at one of these firms to work 2500, 3000 hours when you count the administration and the client development. So yeah, you're taking home millions of dollars. You may not be seeing your kids that much.
