The Importance of Saying No
The film is being worn at the table, it's a long, painful way up the hill. When you have to say no to certain things, you have to be a perfectionist. You have to create the best possible version of your film. I knew how my shots were going to succeed each other. Of course, there are some glitches. Sometimes when you understand that it doesn't work for some reason rhythmically. Some stream of energy might be lacking and so one shot cannot really be succeeded by the next one. But usually it's a very well thought of decision here at this table.
