Multiple Schlerosis Drugs - Is That True?

The medium prices for multiple schlerosis, disease modifying therapies covered by the medicare part d drug benefit more than doubled from two thousand 804 dollars to seven thousand nine dollars per month. Over the last decade, although it's moderated a little bit, you know, prices have increased between five to ten % per year for these d m t. The companies that make these drugs are for profit companies. They are oftentimes acting like monopolies because the government has granted them, in some cases, monopolies. There's very little incentive to really compete on price, at least in a traditional sense.
