What Is Light and What Does It Do?

We don't know what light is in the sense that we don't have like a good intuitive analog. On the other hand, we do have a very nice mathematical description of what light does. So we can predict very well what happens when light hits metal or when light hits plastic and so on. It's a great way to show off like the fundamental quantum mechanics of our universe.
