Sacred Values and Identity Fusion

A fused identity is a person who sees themselves only in terms of one aspect of their life. And combined with sacred values, that's what makes a group dangerous. For example, the initiators of the civil rights movement or the American Revolution thought taxation without representation and inability to make own decisions for themselves was a sacred value.
