The Potential of Bante's Confession
I found it easy enough to accept his expression through grit, but I realised he was asking for more. Over the years I tended to put Bante into a category of somehow being beyond serious fault. He was teaching us that although you can open yourself up to become a channel for the transcendental, you can also act unskilledfully. And that he was taking that unskilled for action seriously so I felt I needed to take it seriously too. My observation is that we can think that Bante and perhaps others more senior to us have done so much for us that it is me minded to find fault. Where would we be without them? We want to excuse out of gratitude and loyalty.
