Subconscious Versus Conscious
Our brains have set these up as a species over a very long you know, hundreds of thousands, millions of years to set us up for the way that we make decisions. And even though we don't realize it or like to admit it, the subconscious brain is really running the show. It uses those rules of thumb that i've alluded to a little bit here to quickly process information. But now our world changes so quickly and old rules of thumb need to sort of be put into new boxes and spaces. The good news is if you know how people are going to make decisions, you can build your messaging off of that - not in a smarmy but in a communicative way.
